| well the first weekend of snow camp is over and I survived! it went really well even though we had no snow until the kids were pulling out this morning. now we have about 2 inches and we are supposed to be getting up to a foot and a half by tomorrow night. I got to counsel this weekend, and I must say that I was not very excited about it when I found out that I was. but by Saturday I was loving it and God really gave me a heart for the girls that he placed in my cabin. we had 4 out of the 15 girls receive Christ on Friday night, I was not able to lead any of them to Christ but I got the opportunity to talk with a few of them late on Saturday night. it was awesome to see how God spoke through me. every question they asked I was not totally sure how to respond but the Lord put the words right in my mouth and I was speaking them before I even realized. I would not trade my weekend with those girls from Sharptown for anything. If any of you girls see this know that I miss you already, stay in the word and throw yourself into His loving arms. classes are good but it is going to be fun keeping up with the home work and do snow camp on the weekends. but with God grace I can do it. We have our second week of acts with Wendell Calder, the first half was awesome and I have really learned a lot about the beginnings of the church age. this next weekend I get to work with my unit of girls in the kitchen and on the tube hill and ice chute, and in my time off I get to find my girls and encourage them to keep on and all that fun stuff, I love doing that kinda stuff. well I better sign off I have a lot of homework to do. I will try to post sometime soon. Ellie | | |
